We are seeking an experienced tourism professional with deep knowledge of the cruise and shore excursion industry to take the lead on creating, marketing, and selling our new shore excursion products.

As the Shorex Specialist you will be responsible for generating revenue by packaging, promoting, and selling a diverse range of excursion offerings to cruise lines and their passengers. This role requires a deep understanding of the cruise industry, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Gray Line Sightseeing Victoria is the sightseeing division of Wilson’s Group of Companies which has a rich history of promoting the Victoria and Vancouver Island tourism industry. This role will support our new venture into Shore Excursions and will provide the Shore Excursion Specialist with the ability to be a part of curating each experience that will be offered to guests starting in 2025.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in tourism, business, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5 plus years of experience in the travel trade industry.

  • 3 plus years of experience in sales within the cruise industry or related travel sector at a supervisory or individual contributor level.

  • Strong knowledge of the cruise industry, including key players, market trends, and customer preferences.

  • Excellent negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage sales and business development projects from start to finish.

  • Language proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
