The Role:

  • The Assistant Manager collaborates with the Store Manager to support the success of the Big Wheel Burger store through three key pillars:

1) Responsibility for your own success and the success of your team.

2) Accountability: be accountable to yourself and to others. Hold your team accountable.

3) Ownership: take the initiative to bring positive results and care as if you owned the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, lead and train team members
  • Manage the store's look and feel
  • Set the pace for the flow of the restaurant
  • Manage the schedule and inventory levels based on store needs to meet budget goals
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of products to ensure they are up to BWB standards
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Most of the day is spent either in the kitchen, expediting food, or with our customer building relationships while fostering BWB's culture

The ideal candidate has:

  • A proven record of leadership from previous management role(s)
  • 1 year (minimum) of restaurant experience
  • Food Safe & Serving It Right (can be obtained during the training process)
  • A positive attitude, outgoing personality and a great sense of humour
  • Technology literacy (Microsoft Office/ POS systems/ delivery and take-out apps )
  • Can demonstrate patience and empathy to build an amazing team
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets, inventory, and scheduling
