Skilled Labour | 5 Ton Truck Driver - FT

We're on the hunt for a 5 Ton Driver who's ready to hit the pavement and make things happen! You'll be responsible for navigating the South Island, delivering goods with precision and care.

This is a Tuesday to Saturday position, with a 6am start.

Responsibilities:

· General P&D activities such as safe driving, hand bombing, related paperwork, and customer service.

· Communicate effectively and respectfully with Dispatch and customers.

· Report all incidents and safety hazards in a timely manner to the supervisor or dispatcher.

Qualifications:

· 1-year experience driving a Five-Ton Truck.

· Air brake certification.

· A clean driver`s abstract.

· Experience driving a manual transmission required.

· Experience using electric power jacks, electric tailgates, and forklifts an asset.

· Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly required.

· Knowledge of reefer settings & food temperature hauling requirements, an asset.

· Knowledge of local roads & highways, an asset.
