Job description:
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Overseeing Accounting Staff: Review and ensure the accuracy of file preparation by our accounting staff, including Compilation, Review, and Audit engagements, as well as corporate and personal income tax returns.
- Complex Issue Analysis: Analyze complex accounting and taxation issues, with support provided for continued learning and growth in taxation.
- Mentorship: Provide constructive feedback and guidance to CPA articling students to support their development.
- Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to address and resolve various tasks and issues.
- Team Support: Assist the accounting team on special projects as needed.
Work experience, education and skills:
- Professional Designation: Must hold a Canadian CPA.
- Work experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience within a Canadian CPA firm including one year of post designation experience. Preference given to those with experience in private client services and not-for profit accounting.
- Tax Compliance: Demonstrated ability in personal and corporate tax compliance.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and earning the respect of colleagues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Adaptability: A strong desire to learn and adapt in a dynamic and challenging environment.

- Start Date: Flexible.
- Location: Chatterton Way or Fort Street office with some flexibility to work remotely.

- Compensation: Competitive remuneration package, including a full benefits package. Total remuneration will be commensurate with the experience of the selected candidate.
