Don Mann Excavating Ltd. is Victoria’s premier supplier of excavating services. We’ve been serving the southern island for over 70 years, providing reliable, quality excavating for municipal, commercial, and residential projects.

We are looking for a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team for a Tuesday through Saturday shift; we’re searching for someone who shares our passion for people and our core values. Don Mann makes everyone feel like family, and your role will be to keep our teams doing what they're best at.

Key Qualifications

· Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal required;

· 3+ years' heavy equipment diagnosis, repairs, maintenance & testing;

· Excavator, Backhoe, and Dump Truck experience required;

· Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills;

· Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Key Duties

· Completes equipment diagnostics, maintenance & repairs (excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, trailers, other heavy equipment);

· Works with safety in mind to minimize workplace incidents;

· Works to maximize DME equipment efficiency through pro-active maintenance, maximizing up-time and minimizing down-time.
