Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Prep/Catering Cook who can efficiently run a small kitchen, develop a standout menu, and oversee catering operations for events of up to 100 people. The ideal candidate will have a background in working in busy cafe environments and be comfortable with both back-of-house prep and front-of-house customer service. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of quality and service that KWENCH is known for.
Key Responsibilities
Menu & Event Planning: Develop innovative and seasonal menus, price items for profitability, and tailor offerings for catered events up to 100 guests, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Budgeting & Cost Control: Track food and labor costs, negotiate with suppliers, and manage inventory to minimize waste and maintain profitability.
Catering Operations: Oversee all aspects of catering services, from menu customization to execution, ensuring events run smoothly and client expectations are exceeded.
Front-of-House Support: Assist with customer service during peak times, providing a seamless dining experience for cafe guests.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, and that kitchen cleanliness is maintained at all times.
Operations Management: Coordinate with vendors for supplies, maintain kitchen equipment, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Client & Vendor Relations: Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers, managing feedback and adjusting services to improve customer satisfaction.
