The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce (“The Chamber”) works together to build good business and great community for all. For over 160 years, The Chamber has led the way in historic improvements in our region, fostering connections, promoting business excellence, and advocating for economic growth. Today, with nearly 1,400 members, the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce is the 3rd largest chamber in British Columbia. We represent the interests of small, medium, and large businesses across all industries.
We are seeking a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented Graphics & Marketing Coordinator to join our team and enhance our marketing and engagement efforts.
Job Description
The Graphics & Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing initiatives to support The Chamber’s events, programs, and advocacy work. This role involves creating compelling content, managing campaigns, and collaborating across teams to ensure consistent and impactful communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans to promote The Chamber’s events, programs, and advocacy initiatives.
- Creating visually compelling graphics, brochures, and digital assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Writing engaging and persuasive content for newsletters, websites, social media, and promotional materials.
- Leading creative campaigns, including writing and designing Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for radio and digital platforms.
- Creating and editing video content for marketing campaigns and events using tools like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
- Collaborating with the Events Team to develop and execute strategies that increase event participation and engagement.
- Partnering with the Membership Team to design campaigns that drive member retention, grow membership, and enhance member experiences.
- Collaborating with the Advocacy Team to develop and promote campaigns highlighting key policy initiatives.
- Engaging our members, answering questions, developing directory listings, and enhancing the value of chamber membership.
- Working with our team to identify opportunities to move towards our vision of being the most diverse and influential business association in the region, encouraging newcomers and indigenous involvement.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in marketing or graphic roles, preferably in a membership-based or nonprofit environment.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strategic thinker with a history of achieving measurable results through marketing and engagement initiatives
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, with the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all Chamber members.
- Flexible, efficient, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Planner) is an asset.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), and video editing tools (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro).
- Experience with software used for Graphic Design as well as Photo and Video Editing (such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro).
- Experience with CRM systems is an asset.

- Compensation: The Graphics & Marketing Coordinator will receive a salary of $47,700 annually.
- Performance Bonuses: Bi-monthly performance bonuses based on the Marketing & Communications team's progress toward annual key performance indicators (KPIs), up to $6000 annually.
- Flexible Schedule: Chamber Staff have the choice between ‘Friday Flex’ Hours or Standard Hours
- Friday Flex: 8:00-4:30 Monday to Thursday, 8:00-2:00 Friday
- Standard Hours: 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday
- Extended-Health Benefits: Chamber Group Health Benefits, available after 6-month probation period.
- RRSP Contributions: Matching RRSP Contributions, available after 2 years of employment.
- Vacation Pay: 3 Weeks of paid vacation annually.
- Hybrid Work Option: Option to work from home twice a week, available after 6-month probation period.
