The salary range for this position is:

  • Recruitment range: $80,232 - $100,160 maximum starting salary is determined through knowledge, experience and internal equity.
  • Performance range: $115,106 salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases.
Job Summary

The Manager, Faculty Administration and Operations is responsible for advising, guiding, supporting and coordinating faculty-wide operational needs of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. This role provides essential guidance for people management, facilities management, and internal communications. By providing guidance as a centralized faculty resource on administrative matters and labor relations issues, the Manager, Faculty Administration and Operations ensures compliance with university policies and fosters a supportive environment for faculty and staff. This position also plays a critical role in faculty hiring processes, employee development, and community building within the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, ultimately contributing to the effective functioning of the faculty and enhancing its strategic objectives. This role works closely with departmental administrators and chairs, providing centralized guidance and management excluded support. 

This position may require occasional evening and weekend work outside of regular business hours relating to program and committee responsibilities and deadlines.

Job Requirements

This position requires a post-secondary degree in Business or related field, and 5 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, knowing when to consult, engage, and obtain leader involvement.
  • Flexible, willing to adapt to changes and challenges.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, trusted working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and tailor communication style for different audiences and situations.
  • Experience in administration within a collective agreement environment, along with knowledge of post-secondary administrative structures, policies, faculties, departments, and services, is an asset.
