MASTER CONTROL/PRODUCTION OPERATOR (Irregular Part Time)

Role Overview
There is an immediate opening for an Irregular Part-time Master Control/Production Operator in the CHEK Operations Department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain more experience or return to the industry. CHEK supports the training and development of our team members, and many part-time positions lead to successful long-term full-time careers.
Responsibilities
· Ensure reliable playback of programming and commercial content, edit playlists, and track and replace missing content as required.
· Technically minded individual, who can learn new software and hardware solutions and take on initiatives independently.
· Ingest, segment, and check audio and video levels on media from various formats and sources, to ensure optimal playback quality.
· The successful applicant will be required to work in Master and Production Control as required.
· Additional duties as required.
· Shifts may also involve working weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
· This position will report to the Chief of Technology.
Qualifications
· Diploma in a relevant field, such as Media or Broadcasting.
· 2+ years of experience working in the Media industry.
· A thorough understanding of television equipment and technology, including various VTR formats, satellite receivers, routers, captioning hardware, quality control devices and distribution paths.
· Have practical experience using broadcast automation systems including server-based recording and playback devices and related software applications.
· Computer skills including: Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet applications.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
· Have excellent communications skills and be willing to contribute to a team environment.
· A professional and can-do attitude.
