Litigation Assistant or Paralegal

Job Duties

  • Answering calls, emails, and voicemails
  • Collecting information and supporting documents from clients and external parties
  • Processing consultation and retainer payments
  • Opening files and performing conflict checks
  • Preparing evidence, pleadings, retainer agreements, affidavits, and other documents
  • Scheduling hearings and meetings
  • Entering lawyer's time and preparing client invoices
  • Printing and filing documents
  • Maintaining organized files
  • Other general office duties as required

Employment Requirements

  • At least two years of administrative work experience (preferably at a law firm), or completion of a college program in legal administration
  • Strong communication, organization, and client-management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and perform well under pressure
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications
  • Willingness to take direction and seek instructions
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • English language ability

Job Details

  • Minimum $45,000 per year (pay based on applicant’s experience).
  • Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week during business hours Mon-Fri).
