Marketing & Comms | Grant Writing Consultant - PT

Alacrity Canada facilitates startup success and economic growth in the Canadian tech sector by providing resources, training, and mentorship to promising entrepreneurs.

We are seeking a vibrant and organized individual to join the team as a Grant Writing Consultant to secure funding that will allow us to expand our programs and increase our impact.

The part-time Grant Writing Consultant will research, write, and submit grant proposals on behalf of Alacrity Canada. This consultant will work closely with our leadership team to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling proposals that align with our mission and goals. This position is based out of our Vancouver or Victoria office, and we support a hybrid work from home model.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
• Write and submit persuasive grant proposals and applications
• Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines and submissions
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary program data and financials
• Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and reporting obligations
• Maintain relationships with funders and seek opportunities for renewal funding

Qualifications

• Proven experience in successful grant writing for non-profits
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent writing and communication abilities
• Knowledge of grant funding sources and application processes
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with SaaS Products, Clean Technology, AI, Industrial Transformation and Cybersecurity/Big Data is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and evolving needs
