The HCMC collaborates with all departments and faculty members in Humanities to create research, instructional, and administrative websites, and other technology-dependent outputs, and manages a shared workspace for up to 15 Research Assistants.

Reporting to the Academic Director, this position is the first point of contact for the Humanities Media and Computing Centre and provides front line reception duties, administrative support in the General Office, and administrative support to the Academic Director.

Job Requirements

This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to 1 year of experience working within a comparable environment.

  • Proficiency with computer applications (i.e., MS-Office Suite, content management systems). Experience with Oxygen, version control systems, Adobe Creative Cloud, digital humanities projects, and digital publishing considered an asset.
  • Experience with University systems: FMIS, Emburse, Banner, Cascade, and FAST considered an asset.
  • Understanding of basic web editing/updating to existing websites would be an asset.
