Management | Assistant Manager, Fuel & Convenience Centre - FT

Peninsula Co-op is hiring an Assistant Manager for a permanent, full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. Shifts will be shared between our MacDonald Park and Deep Cove Fuel and Convenience Centres (North Saanich, BC). Our ideal candidate is flexible, available for a variety of shifts (opening and closing), including weekdays and weekends throughout the week

• Know their way around under the hood of a car is also helpful, but not essential - we train for this. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Supporting the Manager, the Assistant Manager acts in a leadership capacity to ensure the effective operation of the department. Key areas of responsibility include ensuring a pleasant, comfortable, and safe shopping experience for our customers; being a leader to the team, providing support to enable them to do their jobs and develop their skills; ensuring the department is well merchandised, stocked, organized, spotlessly clean and adequately staffed; and administrative tasks like ordering, pricing and inventory. In a supporting capacity, the Assistant Manager will assist with recruitment, performance planning and reviews, period end and inventory management.
