Oak Bay Bikes is seeking an Admin to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and knowledgeable Sales Associate to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, enthusiastic about cycling, and excited to help people find the perfect bike and gear for their needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greet and assist customers in a warm, professional manner
• Offer informed recommendations on bicycles, gear, and accessories
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
• Process transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system (Ascend POS)
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
• Assist with bike sizing and basic bike builds (training provided)
• Help with inventory management and restocking
• Stay up-to-date on current product lines and promotions

Qualifications:

• Retail or customer service experience preferred, bike shop experience ++
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy sales floor and effectively manage inventory
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in or knowledge of bikes and cycling gear
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Willing to learn about bikes and service basics
• Excellent phone and email etiquette to handle customer inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Comfortable working weekends and holidays when needed

Experience:

• 2+ years retail sales (preferred but not necessary)
