The Opportunity
At BC Ferries, we connect communities and shape journeys across the province. Our Information Technology team is the backbone of our operations – ensuring systems run smoothly, securely, and reliably. We’re looking for a skilled Database Specialist who’s passionate about data availability / integrity, performance and security to join our team and help us manage and protect the information that drives our business.
As a key member of the Data Services team, you’ll administer and optimize databases that support financial, HR, safety, retail, supply chain, and contract systems. You’ll also lead and mentor other Data Services staff, and oversee Oracle Application servers (WebLogic, SOA Suite). Your expertise will be critical in installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, tuning, monitoring and upkeep of these environments.

Additional Information
The target salary range: $105,200 - $131,500 per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and experience, and on internal equity.
