ColdStar Solutions is looking for a Manager, Supply Chain Business Development to join their leadership team. You will take ownership of the transportation growth strategy, with a focus on strategic customer acquisition and relationship management to drive long-term success
Key Responsibilities:
To work with the ColdStar Executive team to identify and help implement a new strategic sales plan including:
o Identifying areas for market expansion that would drive sustainable growth.
o Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations to ensure customer retention, satisfaction and new opportunities.
o Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape and opportunities.
o Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
o Deliver persuasive presentations to showcase the value and benefits of ColdStar Solutions.
o Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
o Provide reports and KPIs on performance and market intelligence to the General Manager.
o Lead initiatives to expand sustainable storage revenue throughout the network.
Requirements:
o 5+ years’ experience in business development or sales in the transportation and logistics industry
o Strong entrepreneurial skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
o Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on driving new business.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and supply chain solutions to clients.
o Strong interpersonal skills, a natural relationship builder with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients and colleagues alike.
o A strategic thinker with proven experience developing new territories or lanes.
o Ability to “close” deals and manage contracts effectively.
o Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a small team.
o Preference for candidates based within the Vancouver/Victoria metropolitan area, but open to considering candidates from anywhere in southwest, Vancouver Island or interior of BC.
o Willingness to travel for client meetings and other business requirements.
Reporting:
o This position would answer directly to the General Manager but would also work closely with all senior leadership with the goal of supporting the overall strategic goals for ColdStar.
Compensation:
o $90-$130k annually based on experience
