The Role
Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Network & Systems Administrator plays a key role in maintaining, implementing, and supporting a secure and reliable IT infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This position serves as a technical expert in the administration of complex systems and enterprise services.

Schedule
This is a full-time permanent position with 8-hour shifts from Monday – Friday, for a total of 40 hrs weekly.

What You’ll Do

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain secure and reliable infrastructure environments (physical, cloud, and virtual).
  • Conduct system patching, upgrades, and performance tuning to optimize stability, security, and availability.
  • Ensure datacenter and cloud operating environments remain within defined performance and availability parameters.
  • Perform daily monitoring of critical systems and verify successful completion of scheduled jobs.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Proactively monitor systems and respond to alerts from Auvik, Barracuda RMM, and related tools.
  • Analyze feasibility of system requirements, develop system specifications, and implement improvements.
  • Respond to and remediate issues identified by monitoring tools.

Endpoint & Device Management

  • Configure and administer endpoint management and mobile device management solutions including Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Jamf.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (Datto, Veeam, Azure Backup).
  • Perform regular testing to ensure recoverability.

Networking & Virtualization

  • Administer networking equipment (Fortinet, Meraki, SonicWall, and others) to maintain secure and optimized connectivity.
  • Manage and support virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox).

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain documentation of guidelines, procedures, and system configurations in line with company standards.
  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with security, availability, and performance standards, including applicable regulations.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to implement solutions and resolve incidents.
  • Participate in research and technical development initiatives to drive continuous innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Education

  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure administration experience, preferably in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or enterprise environment.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking (firewalls, VPN, routing, switching).
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS) and hybrid integrations.
  • Experience with endpoint management and MDM solutions (Intune, Autopilot, Jamf, or equivalent).
  • Proficient with backup and disaster recovery technologies (Datto, Veeam, Azure Backup).
  • Hands-on knowledge of virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox).

Certifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Veeam, Fortinet, ITIL) considered strong assets.
