Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to oversee daily operations of our bustling café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food and beverage industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly valued, along with expertise in food handling, POS systems, and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise café staff as an on the floor manager, including interviewing, training, and scheduling team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee and assist with food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety compliance in accordance with industry standards
  • Manage POS transactions accurately using Tee-on POS or similar systems; handle cash and credit card payments responsibly
  • Ensure high levels of customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Uphold our “friendliest golf course” culture every day
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment in compliance with health regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment
  • Implement quality control measures to uphold food presentation and taste standards
  • Enforce safety protocols related to food handling, kitchen operations, and workplace safety
  • Manage restaurant workflow during peak hours to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Support team development through coaching and leadership to foster a positive work environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service roles; supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Familiarity with POS systems; cash handling experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
  • Background in hospitality or hotel industry is advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership qualities with experience in team management and interviewing potential staff
  • Knowledge of food industry regulations and best practices in food handling and safety
  • Previous experience working in restaurants or cafes with a focus on quality service delivery
