Alumni & Development is the unit of the university responsible for creating strong relationships and building philanthropic commitment between the University of Victoria and its alumni and friends. It is comprised of a committed staff team who work both centrally and in faculties and units to identify opportunities where faculty, staff, donors, and alumni can be instrumental to enhancing UVic’s programs, research, and student support. It is the key university unit to plan and execute the university’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign.
Mandate:
The Campaign and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting the comprehensive fundraising campaign. This position contributes to the successful execution of campaign projects, strategic initiatives and volunteer engagement efforts. The Coordinator supports the planning, communication and operational needs of the campaign and other strategic initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the Alumni & Development department’s goals.
The role of the Campaign and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator provides coordination and administrative support to the Director, Campaign and Strategic Initiatives. The incumbent will provide high-level coordination, administrative support and project execution capacity.
This role will be required to work independently and demonstrate a high level of initiative while being in a dynamic team environment where flexibility and multi-tasking is essential.
Objectives:
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
