CLIENT ADVISOR, PERSONAL INSURANCE, MARINE

Acera is seeking an ambitious and motivated Junior Client Advisor with a keen interest in Marine insurance and a desire to grow their knowledge and career within the insurance industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, develop technical expertise, and build lasting client relationships within a supportive and well-established organization.

As a Junior Client Advisor, you will have a strong focus on Marine insurance and you will support an existing book of business while learning to provide exceptional customer service to both new and existing clients. You will work closely with experienced advisors and leaders, gaining hands-on exposure to Marine insurance and broader personal insurance products. Acera’s strong brand, collaborative culture, and community presence will help set you up for long-term success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality customer service to an existing portfolio of clients, with a focus on Marine insurance.
  • Assist with the placement and servicing of new business under the guidance of senior advisors.
  • Support up-selling and cross-selling initiatives by identifying client needs and coverage opportunities.
  • Handle day-to-day client servicing, including policy inquiries, documentation, and follow-ups.
  • Continuously build insurance knowledge through training, mentorship, and on-the-job learning.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Location and Status:

Victoria or Nanaimo, BC

Permanent full-time employment (35 hrs/week)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 Years Insurance experience considered an asset;
  • Level 1 Insurance License
  • Working towards a level 2 insurance license an asset
