Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the business activities of the organization’s retail stores on Vancouver Island and in the Lower Mainland.
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills as well as business acumen and good judgment and is looking to join a company with a product they are proud of. Along with the rest of the retail operations team, you will represent the company with a strong sales focus and strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Works in conjunction with other members of the RCL team to develop the company’s Retail Business Plan for RCL retail stores and products, including budget target strategies and action plans.
- Coordinates ongoing campaigns and development of retail store product sales programs within budgeted guidelines.
- Recommends changes in structure and organization of retail store resources to ensure effective fulfillment of objectives assigned and to provide flexibility to move swiftly in relation to market needs and opportunities.
- Consistently execute quality inventory practices with receiving, restocking, transfers, and managing inventory discrepancies.
- Manages RCL brand performance in conjunction with RCL team.
- Manages multiple stores effectively, including staff scheduling.
- Demonstrates thorough product knowledge.
- Builds effective teams.
- Evaluating, hiring and termination of personnel.
- Development of retail store programs and training of personnel.
- Identifies store performance challenges and recommend well defined solutions.
- Develops & executes in-store merchandising, display and design.
- Achieves established department objectives.
- Assist Store leaders in training, coaching and development, customer service standards, standard operating procedures and impeccable visual standards.
- Traveling your region to ensure our stores are set up for and realizing success. (25% travel commitment)
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business (retail management and marketing) or equivalent retail experience.
- 3-5 years of related management experience.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
- English fluency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills and ability to engage and motivate teams.
