Pacific Northwest Transportation Services (PNWTS) is the proud supplier of carbon-neutral transportation services for the cruise industry in Victoria, British Columbia. As the exclusive supplier of buses on behalf of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA), PNWTS provides motor coaches and double-decker buses for shore excursion tours and shuttle connections for cruise lines and is the sole provider of dispatch services on the Terminal.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Sightseeing Victoria/Gray Line division starting March until October 2026.

The Finance Assistant is Responsible for the smooth running of shuttle sales cash outs, reconciliation and preparation of weekly bank deposits. Assists in the preparation of daily and monthly invoicing for PNWTS Shore excursions and Gray Line reseller revenue. Additionally, this position will assist with monthly data reporting and other administrative tasks as necessary. This position works collaboratively with management and develops processes to encourage the most effective systems are in place for counting, record keeping and communication amongst the office manager, Ground Transportation and Safety Supervisor, Shuttle Team Leads and yourself. Most importantly, this position plays a part in ensuring a safe, professional, productive, and inspiring office environment influencing the company culture. You will be part of a motivated and diverse team and will have high interaction with all employees throughout the organization.

Wage: $27.40/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares weekly bank deposits to be collected by Brinks
  • Performs daily count and reconciliation of shuttle sales cash outs
  • Keeps accurate records of daily and monthly shuttle revenue.
  • Tracks and investigates discrepancies in collaboration with the Office Manager or Ground Transportation and Safety Manager.
  • Assists with monthly GVHA Shuttle reporting.
  • Compiles various data into spreadsheets on a monthly basis to ensure data is accurate and readily available.
  • Prepares daily invoices for PNWTS tour operators by confirming tour times and applicable rates.
  • Prepares monthly invoices for Gray Line Sightseeing Victoria resellers.
  • Executes other finance-related tasks as required by the Office Manager.
  • Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential.
  • Assists with administrative tasks around the office as needed.
  • Supports strategic plan through setting and monitoring progress against goals and objectives, encouraging other team members to do the same.
  • Provides support to other team members as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned on an ad hoc basis.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge
    • Post-secondary education with a preferred focus on transportation, distribution or accounting and business
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in administrative or financial support.
    • Experience with Ventrata is an asset.

    • Proficient in MS Office & other computer programs
    • Excellent administrative skills
