Join Beacon Community Services as a Client Advisor for Persons with Disabilities and Job Development, where you will support clients with diverse abilities and barriers to find meaningful employment.  This role combines one-to-one employment coaching with creative job development to build customized opportunities that fit each client’s unique strengths. Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8.30 am-4.30 pm, one late shift on Wednesday 10.30 am-7.00 pm, approx. every 4-6 weeks. 37.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support clients with complex barriers through personalized case management 
  • Help clients identify their goals and access supports like training, job placements, financial assistance and specialized assessment referrals. 
  • Provide specialized employment services to people with disabilities 
  • Conduct Disability Related Employment Needs Assessments and develop Individualized Service and Action plans \
  • Support clients in overcoming barriers and accessing appropriate resources 
  • Build relationships with employers to identify and create inclusive job opportunities 
  • Arrange interviews and support clients through hiring and onboarding processes 
  • Provide job retention and follow-up services to ensure long-term success 
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in the Integrated Case Management (ICM) system in accordance with WorkBC guidelines 

What You Bring: 

  • Degree in a related field, or a combination of relevant education (e.g., Career Development Practitioner certificate) and experience 
  • Experience supporting individuals with multiple barriers to employment 
  • Valid BC driver’s license and reliable vehicle 
  • Knowledge of local organizations, resources and labour market trends
