Education

The Gill Graduate School at the Gustavson School of Business offers several graduate business programs, including an MBA in Sustainable Innovation, a Master of Global Business and custom MBA programs. Custom MBA programs are designed and delivered for private and public sector client organizations and currently include the MBA in Strategic Leadership and the MBA in Advancing Reconciliation.

The Custom MBA administrative team is responsible for three essential areas: academic program management, holistic student support and client relationship management.

The Program Coordinator, Custom MBA is responsible for supporting and stabilizing the delivery of the newly-expanded MBA in Strategic Leadership and  other custom programs as required. This role administers and coordinates complex operational components across overlapping program cycles, requiring advanced judgment, multi-system proficiency, and coordination with multiple internal and external interest holders.

Objectives:
Reporting to the Director, Custom MBA Program Admin, the Program Coordinator, Custom MBA coordinates end‑to‑end operational workflows for concurrent program cohorts, including:

  • Admissions processing
  • Term readiness sequencing
  • Instructor coordination
  • Platform administration
  • Event execution
  • Financial processes

As a result of the delivery model of custom programs, this position requires some work outside regular work hours (8:30-4:30) in the evenings and weekends. 

Job Requirements

This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree plus minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a post-secondary setting, including:

  • Experience coordinating admissions and registration in an academic program
  • Experience planning and implementing successful events
  • Experience supporting instructors and program leaders with academic term preparation

  • Demonstrated administrative, organization and time management skills with aptitude to re-prioritize and coordinate tasks with multiple and competing deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Proficient skills in, and enthusiasm to use and leverage, university software such as Banner, FAST Student, FAST Finance, APEX, Brightspace, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Planner, Outlook, Microsoft Office suite, SurveyMonkey and ability to adapt to using client software.
  • Ability to carry and lift program equipment and materials.
