The Position

The Accounts Payable position is a key part of our finance team and touches many aspects of our operations. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys variety, values accuracy, and wants to continue building their accounting skill set in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Code and post accounts payable using our paperless workflow software
• Process payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare monthly cheque runs
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and update support schedules in Excel
• Post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile accounts
• Provide support to reception and general administrative functions

Schedule: This position is full-time in our downtown office Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Skills & Experience

• Post-secondary degree with priority given to accounting
• Experience with accounts payable and account reconciliations would be an asset
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, macros, and conditional formatting)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Experience with accounting software would be an asset
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong judgement, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
