Role Overview:

The Senior Supervisor, Fleet Services & Facilities is responsible for leading ColdStar’s fleet safety and compliance program, ensuring all transportation activities meet provincial and federal regulatory requirements. They oversee the development and execution of fleet asset performance, maintenance planning, and lifecycle optimization to support operational reliability and cost efficiency. This role leads the facility maintenance and preventative maintenance program, ensuring ColdStar’s buildings and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and compliant. The Senior Supervisor plays a key role in supporting transportation operations through strong cross-functional leadership and program execution.

The Senior Supervisor directly manages the Fleet and Facilities Maintenance team, including a Red Seal refrigeration mechanic and multiple fleet mechanics. They provide dotted-line leadership to the Supervisors, Transportation Operations, guiding them on expectations and follow-up with contract carriers and the driver group. This role influences a broad operational footprint, ensuring consistent adherence to safety, compliance, and maintenance standards across the fleet and facilities. The role operates across short- to mid-term planning horizons, managing daily maintenance schedules, preventative maintenance programs, and resource allocation, while also planning for longer-term fleet and facility lifecycle needs. They monitor budget performance, identify efficiency opportunities, and implement initiatives that optimize fleet reliability, facility upkeep, and compliance across CSI. They report directly to the Manager, Transportation Operations, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Supervisor, Fleet Services & Facilities will lead and oversee the company’s fleet safety and compliance program, ensuring we are meeting regulatory and company standards. They will develop, implement and monitor fleet maintenance programs to ensure vehicles are reliable, safe and cost-effective. This role will manage the fleet budget, evaluate vendor performance and identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes and reduce operating costs.

Additionally, overseeing and coordinating preventative maintenance programs across all regional operations; including buildings, equipment and infrastructure. This position manages the fleet and facility maintenance teams providing coaching, training and performance management to build a capable and engaged workforce.

Requirements:

o 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience

o Diploma in Business or Logistics

o Experience in fleet operations, working with fleet and facility software

o Provide a current criminal record check and credit report

o Excellent communication skills

o Previous Class 1 experience would be an asset
