Pay:

Starting Wage is $22.00/hr, plus $1.25 evening premium and $1.50 night premium as applicable.

Schedule:

This is a casual position.

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of resident suites, public spaces, and staff areas. Provides laundry and linen services for residents and kitchen staff, manages garbage and recycling collection, and ensures all Berwick furniture, fixtures, and furnishings are kept clean and well maintained. Performs all duties efficiently, courteously, and with a caring and respectful attitude toward residents and colleagues. May also participate in the building’s Emergency Response procedures as required.

Qualifications Required:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent; 1–2 years’ housekeeping experience in hospitality preferred
  • WHMIS, Standard First Aid Certification
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive movements safely
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Works independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Polite, patient, and empathetic when working with residents, staff, and the public
